Competitive Athlete: Fencer

Angelina Wang is a competitive épée fencer based in Southern California. She began fencing in fourth grade and currently trains at Swords Fencing Studio in Pasadena under coaches Tigran Shaginian and Nana Demirchian.

Angelina has served as an assistant fencing coach in Beijing during the summers of 2022, 2023, and 2024, where she trained elementary and middle school athletes in both technique and conditioning. She has also refereed at multiple tournaments, ensuring fair play and fostering growth for developing fencers.

Looking ahead, Angelina hopes to continue fencing in college, where she aims to build on her competitive success while contributing to a strong team culture.
