MY AI WILDFIRE PREDICTOR

Creating a Machine Learning RandomForest AI Wildfire Predictor Model

"Things would have been much easier if we had forsaw this days before. Even weeks before would have been helpful!"

THE IDEA.

Coding Station

When the Pasadena fires hit, many in my community reflected on how much better prepared we—and the firefighters—could have been if we’d only had some way of anticipating them. What we needed was a tool that anyone could use to understand the likelihood of a wildfire.

That need pushed me to take a course on Machine Learning and AI, where I built skills in coding, logic, and data analysis. With those tools, I set out to design a model that the public could use themselves—a Machine Learning system capable of predicting wildfires.
